Derek D Ross - Consultant
Derek set up Alexanders 25 years ago. It’s thanks to his hard work and knowledge that the business stands so strong. It’s surprising how much Derek knows. He’s an infinite source of Estate Agency information. Derek is the key partner at Alexanders, following and investing in new resources and consulting with various clients regarding commercial premises, overseas and property development projects.
Layla Isis Mangan - Associate
Layla joined our company as a trainee 12 years ago and has worked her way through the ranks, now being the responsible for running the lettings, new homes and sales departments. She grew up locally and has established a range of professional contacts in the area.
Working initially in the sales department she moved onto run a successful new homes department and then progressed on to the challenging world of residential lettings. She is known for her honest valuations and advice. Layla undertakes most of our lettings valuations and is always available for advice on all aspects of the property industry. She enjoys running with her dogs Marley & Bo, cooking and maintaining her luscious herb garden and looking after her beautiful baby Liberty.
Katarina Gustafsson - Accounts
Based in our Aberystwyth office, Katarina is the other half of our accounts team. Having previously worked in tourism, hospitality and HR, her varied skills make her an asset here at Alexanders. Originally from Sweden, Katarina now lives in Machynlleth and when she’s not working Katarina enjoys spending time with her family.
Rhian Price - Weekend Negotiator
Rhian graduate from Swansea University with her Law degree in 2017 and is currently studying her master’s in law at BPP University. She has a keen interest in the property sector which has led her to Alexanders. If she is not studying or behind the desk you will find her playing piano or giving legal information talks to schools and homeless shelters.
Rhian Elizabeth Daniell - Marketing Consultant
Rhian – known as Red, based in our Aberystwyth office joined our team from doing Advertising in the local newspaper. Graduating from Worcester University with a 2:1 Degree with Honours in Art and Design, Rhian moved back to Aberystwyth to pursue her career in Design. Now working for an Estate Agency, Rhian deals with all of our social media and other online platforms, while putting her artistic skills to good use in our adverts. When she is not in the office you will probably find Rhian at home spending her time watching Netflix!
Tanya Jakomis - Administrator
Tanya comes from a fitness and hospitality background and has made the jump to the property industry as a new career challenge. Having lived in Cardiff all of her life, she has an in depth knowledge of the immediate and surrounding areas, which will prove invaluable in her new role at Alexanders. When not in the office, you will find Tanya out running with her husky or enjoying a coffee and a slice of cake.
Penelope Garland - Negotiator
Penny has worked in the Residential Sales Industry, with breaks, since the year 2000. One of her exciting assignments was to help sell a $14 million dollar mansion in San Diego, California, where she was filmed walking down the central staircase!
Originally from Cardiff with a Great Grandfather who founded a Commercial Properties company in the last century, and with an Uncle who had his own Residential Sales company in Cardiff, Penny has selling properties in her blood. Penny is delighted to return to the Residential Sales Industry and describes herself as “changing people’s lives” and ‘Selling homes, not houses”!
Stewart Manning - Manager
Cardiff Manager Stewart entered his chosen estate agency profession in 1981 and started at the bottom rung of the ladder printing sales details, producing photographic templates and organising company mailings, Stewart worked his way through the industry from operating an estate agency board department and finally becoming an estate agent where-upon he earned the title of top sales person for the then largest estate agency group in Europe.
Since his beginnings, Stewart has prospered and gained extensive and detailed knowledge within both corporate and highly regarded independent property organisations and co-owned his own estate agency for a number of years. Stewart’s broad knowledge of residential sales, valuing, marketing, business development, customer relations and compliance brings true value to Alexanders Estate Agents and adds strength, experience and ability to support an already successful and established property businesses.
Jordan Walters - Sales & Lettings Consultant
Jordan trained in our Aberystwyth branch before moving to Cardiff to become an integral part of the team. Jordan is a sales & lettings consultant and is a leading-edge inspiration in sales, motivation and business development. He plays a key role in client liaison and building strong relationships with both applicants and vendors alike. Jordan is a leading team member in developing and nurturing public awareness of Alexanders as a growing force within the area. When he’s not in the office, Jordan enjoys training and competing in Powerlifting, having successfully represented Wales for the past 2 years.
